The United States Institute of Peace (USIP)—an independent, nonpartisan, national institution—provides tools that prevent and end conflicts and promote stability. USIP’s new headquarters, designed by Moshe Safdie and Associates, incorporates a dramatic series of wing-like elements constructed of steel frames and white translucent glass. The 150,000 square-feet, LEED-NC building is scheduled for completion in late 2010.

General membership registration begins at 10:00 am on Friday, November 20 and will be assigned based on space availability. Please note: most tours involve extensive stair climbing.
