Origins of the Bauhaus
July 31, 2008
6:30 - 8:00 pm
Martin Moeller, National Building Museum Senior Vice President and Curator, uncovers the complex origins of the Bauhaus, the sometimes surprising work of its students and faculty, and its lasting legacy. This program complements the exhibition Eero Saarinen: Shaping the Future, which will be open for viewing before the lecture.

Eero Saarinen: Shaping the Future is made possible by the global sponsor, ASSA ABLOY.

Sponsorship for the presentation of the exhibition at the National Building Museum is provided by the local sponsor, Knoll, Inc and patron sponsor, the National Endowment for the Arts. Additional support is provided by the Dedalus Foundation; Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP; Carolyn Brody; Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects; and Dr. Tina Alster and The Honorable Paul Frazer, among others.
The exhibition is organized by the Finnish Cultural Institute in New York; the Museum of Finnish Architecture, Helsinki; and the National Building Museum with the support of the Yale University School of Architecture.
