Drawing Workshop: Sketching the Museum Collection
December 14 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Moh’d Bilbeisi, architect, illustrator, and watercolorist, will lead a drawing workshop inspired by the Museum’s new exhibition, Visible Vault: Open Collections Storage. Participants will sketch an artifact from the collection, focusing on its textures, shapes, and details. The workshop will begin with an introduction to the artifact’s history and significance in Visible Vault. Then Bilbeisi will guide the group through foundational sketching techniques to capture the essence of the object, drawing from his unique style that blends precision with abstract expressionism. Whether a beginner or an experienced artist, this workshop offers an opportunity to refine drawing skills and deepen a connection with the art.
All materials – paper, pencils, and erasers – will be provided, although participants are welcome to bring their own tools if preferred. No prior experience is necessary. This workshop is open to all skill levels. Recommended for ages 12+ (minors must be accompanied by an adult)
