Just Drop In!

Explore the basics of geodesic domes and the innovative ways architects and engineers use forces to create self-supporting structures. In partnership with the Structural Engineers Association of Metropolitan Washington (SEA-MW), participants will learn the basic principles of how architects and engineers create geodesic domes before having the opportunity to build their own using craft materials. DCPL will be bringing their library cart from 10 am – 12 pm!
About Just Drop In!
Just drop in! – and join us for a fun, hands-on weekend workshop for children of all ages. Held on the fourth Saturday of every month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., these workshops offer the perfect opportunity to engage in a variety of building and craft activities inspired by the fascinating objects in our exhibits and the world we design and build.
Pre-registration is recommended but not required.
Note: Program tickets are $7 per participating child and $10 per adult, which includes admission to the Museum’s exhibitions.
