Just Drop In: Jeanne Walker Harvey

Join author Jeanne Walker Harvey as she celebrates the release of her newest book, The Glass Pyramid: The Story of the Louvre Museum and Architect I.M. Pei with a presentation and crafts! Hear Jeanne read her book and share the legacy of architect I.M. Pei. Then, build your own paper pyramid and more activities inspired by The Glass Pyramid!
Don’t forget to purchase The Glass Pyramid in the Museum Shop, and get your book signed by the author.
Pre-registration is recommended but not required.
Note: Program tickets are $7 per participating child and $10 per adult, which includes admission to the Museum’s exhibitions.

About Jeanne Walker Harvey:
Jeanne Walker Harvey is the author of many picture books, including Boats on the Bay, as well as the well-received picture book biographies Else B. in the Sea: The Woman Who Painted the Wonders of the Deep (a NSTA 2025 Best STEM K-12 Book); Ablaze with Color: A Story of Painter Alma Thomas (winner of the 2022 Northern California Book Awards – Children’s Literature Younger Readers and Jane Addams Children’s Book Award finalist); Dressing Up the Stars: The Story of Movie Costume Designer Edith Head; and Maya Lin: Artist-Architect of Light and Lines (a NSTA Best STEM Book of the Year). Held on the first Sunday and fourth Saturday of every month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., these workshops offer the perfect opportunity to engage in a variety of building and craft activities inspired by the world we design and build.
