The Museum is seeking energetic individuals with a passion for children’s education to join our education team. The part-time Museum Teachers primarily teach our engaging hands-on school programs that help pre-K through 12th grade students experience and understand the built environment. Museum Teachers also occasionally facilitate weekend family programs, festivals, and other education department programming.
Qualifications include: flexibility; enthusiasm for working with children and their teachers; excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills; one or more years’ experience working with children ages 3 and up; knowledge of architecture, design, civil engineering, or the built environment is a plus.
The position is approximately 7-18 hours/week. Typical weekday hours 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, and/or 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Applicants must be able to work most Fridays. Typical weekend family program hours require 4 hours of work. This position lasts from early-to-mid January 2018 through mid-June 2018.
