Development Intern

The National Building Museum development department seeks an intern who is interested in learning about institutional advancement, fundraising, and the community of donors who support the Museum. The development intern will have the opportunity to work in all areas of development including individual giving, corporate sponsorship, foundation proposals, databases, and special events. This is a great opportunity for students interested in pursuing a career in development or those who are just interested in learning more about what fundraising is all about. The development intern will gain valuable experience using a fundraising database, conducting prospect research, and developing and supporting fundraising appeals while working in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
Prospect research
Database projects
Special Event support
Preparing donor solicitation and stewardship materials
Assisting in membership mailing processes
Qualifications:
Candidate must have a BA or be currently enrolled student at the college level or higher.
Commitment:
A minimum of 16 hours per week, 24 or higher preferred.
