Extended Care Assistant

Extended Care Assistant is responsible for leading a variety of games, crafts, building challenges, and other camp activities during camp extended care (Monday-Friday, 3:00-5:30 pm). Other responsibilities include daily prep, set up, and clean up. The aftercare assistant is responsible for the safety, care, and well being of each camper.
The Extended Care Assistant must be 18 years or older at the start of camp, and should have experience working with children ages 6 and up. Additional qualifications include excellent communication skills with youth children and adults, and experience working as a member of a team, as well as demonstrated ability to accomplish tasks independently. Experience working with youth in a camp, after school program, or recreational setting is a plus.
The position is 20 hours/week during camp season, 2:00 pm-6:00 pm. Mandatory staff training is June 25-29; camp dates are July 9 – August 17, 2018.
